Christmas at The Secondhand Bookworm - Christmas 2021 novels

In The Secondhand Bookworm used and antiquarian bookshop (Castletown) at Christmas, Nora Jolly and her colleagues prepare the shop for the season. Following the pattern of the previous two novels in the series, we spend a week with Nora as she enjoys all the book-related events, festivities and customers as well as things taking place in her personal life. The Duke is finally introduced. He will eventually be Nora's boyfriend, fiancé and finally husband in the series as it develops. My plan is to have James buy a little shop up the hill, the Fudge Pantry beneath Nora's flat, where Nora will specialise in a specific topic of books. Nora and Cara are due to purchase the two bookshops from Georgina soon after book 9 so an additional bookshop run by Nora in a new location up the hill not far from The Secondhand Bookworm will be fun to write and it's about time Nora gets her own shop.

Christmas at The Secondhand Bookworm is book 3 in my bookshop series. The novels are an easy read with simple plots. If you don't want to be stressed or disturbed, scandalised or depressed by characters and stories with upsetting themes then these books are perfect. I would recommend them especially for women over 35 who are battling hormonal emotions and stresses! These book won't stress but will engage the mind very lightly and calmly.

As the novels go on, more characters are introduced and additional plots occur, but everything is set around a bookshop in an historical town in the fictional south coast county of Cole.

All books are available on Kindle and in paperback through Amazon:

There are presently 8 in the series with more on the way.
Being a woman in my mid-forties myself and 'enjoying' the peri-menopause I will add as I feel able and can assure that having written the series mainly in my later thirties onwards they are the sort of book a middle aged woman will find easy, calming, engaging and happy, nice to turn to without stressful expectations and effort. Nora is moody but likable and deals with daily life, books, friendship and customers.

The Secondhand Bookworm series - an easy, pleasant read for the middle-aged woman seeking calmful and stress-free character engagement for the mind.
